School Clubs & Workshops

Empower offers Breakfast Club, Lunch Time Club & After School Club

Our school workshops and clubs are designed for KS1 up to KS5. We help to make learning fun by introducing your students to the world of theatre and performance through the use of imaginative play, inclusive creative learning, building their theatre skill set and stimulating self-expression and communication skills. We aim to enrich children's school experience through art and theatre by inviting them to positively express and interact.

The sessions run during term time either before school, during the school day, lunchtime or after school. The sessions are designed for groups of up to twenty five students.

We offer workshops on most curriculum topics and subjects, but are also able to work with the class teacher or subject to provide a club suited to the specific needs and requirements of the educational facility.

Previous workshops have included Ancient Egypt, Fairytales, Black History Month, Children's Mental Health Week and Anti-bullying Week.

Our school workshops can be booked as a regular visit to support a topic, as a stand-alone workshop, or effective PPA cover.

Sessions can be designed to suit your school’s specific needs.

Performing Arts is a highly effective way for students to learn, grow and express themselves in an educational setting. Whilst under the guidance of an Empower workshop leader, children use stimuli to create dramatic pieces.  Through discussion of the stimuli, the children create their own stories and histories for characters, which become short scenes in group work.

Students learn in a fun and nurturing environment using games, theatre techniques and skills to further develop their understanding on a topic/subject.

Our workshops help empower students to step out of their comfort zones; giving them the confidence to explore and learn new ideas, form new connections, improve their physicality, speech and language skills and improve significantly in school.

When running weekly clubs, our students work towards a small performance to be shown to the rest of the school.

Taja is a great drama teacher. She does a afterschool club for us and also does class drama workshops. The children have grown in confidence so much since they have started working with Taja. The parents tell me how much their children looks forward to the weekly class. We would not go with a different Drama teacher Taja is always happy and accommodating to our pupils. â€‹
