From May 13th to May 19th, our community came together for an extraordinary Children's Activities Week, filled with fun, learning, and remarkable generosity. The event was not only a celebration of childhood joy and creativity but also a heartfelt effort to support Caudwell Children, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children across the UK.
Surpassing Our Fundraising Goal
Our initial goal was to raise £500, and thanks to the incredible efforts of our children, parents, and supporters, we raised an impressive total of £765.10! This remarkable achievement underscores the power of community spirit and collective action for a noble cause.
A special shoutout to our top fundraisers who went above and beyond:
Ja'kyri: Raised an outstanding £195 and earned first place in our fundraising efforts.
Sabah: Collected a significant £179, demonstrating immense dedication and enthusiasm.
Tiarna and Lyra: Together, they raised £213, showcasing fantastic teamwork and commitment.
Kennedy: Contributed £70, adding substantial support to our cause.
Matthew: Raised £50, making a valuable contribution to our overall success.
The "Watch Me Fly" Theme
Throughout the week, we incorporated the inspiring theme "Watch Me Fly" into all our activities. This theme was chosen to encourage children to dream big, explore their potential, and believe in their abilities.
We led special lessons across nurseries, primary schools, and our public classes, engaging children in activities that foster creativity, confidence, and curiosity. Each session was designed to be both educational and entertaining, ensuring that the children were not only learning but also having a great time.
Supporting Caudwell Children
All funds raised during Children's Activities Week were donated to Caudwell Children. This charity does incredible work, providing practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families. Our contribution will help fund essential services such as specialized equipment, therapy, and family support programs, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Thank You to Our Supporters
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Children's Activities Week 2024. Your donations, participation, and enthusiasm were instrumental in making this event a success. Whether you helped raise funds, or simply attended one of our sessions, your contribution made a significant impact.
Looking Ahead
The success of this year's Children's Activities Week has set a high standard for the future. We are already looking forward to next year's event, where we hope to engage even more children and continue to inspire them to dream big and achieve great things.
Thank you once again for your incredible support. Together, we have shown that when we unite for a common goal, we can truly make a difference in the lives of children.
